Project "Clearing Houses"Clearing Houses
Lead management: federal state of Bremen
Object and aim: Electronic communications among public agencies on the one hand and between public agencies and their customers on the other sometimes suffer from media inconsistency and incompatible data formats which are an obstacle to communication flows. Clearing houses are there to provide secure communication services, data and format conversion services as well as access to directory and routing services in data processing networks in order to support electronic communications between public agencies.
Clearing houses as administrative service providers enable the optimum utilisation of efficiency gains in conjunction with the transmission of electronic applications to and between public agencies because any necessary data adaptation and conversion work can be carried out by a central institution. They thereby reduce the workload for all the parties involved. |
